Hypixor Is Sunsetting

How it started

On April 16, 2026, we started Hypixor with a pretty simple goal: to create a clean place for the SkyBlock community, without unnecessary bloat, ads, or making things premium just to access them. We wanted everything to be available to everyone, without putting useful features behind a paywall or getting in the way of what you actually came for.

We know Hypixor never really reached the level we wanted it to. A big part of that was simply not having enough time to keep developing it.

What we had planned

We had quite a few things planned, including the calculators and other tools that we originally promised would be released on May 28th. We did actually start working on them, and some of them got pretty far, but a lot of them were still unfinished when our exams came around. After that, we just couldn't find the time to properly continue development and get them out. We're genuinely sorry about that.

Looking back, there is a lot more we could have done with Hypixor. We had plans for much more than what eventually made it onto the site. We were only able to roll out things like SkyBlock time, active mayor information, election data, upcoming events, recurring events, special mayors, 12 year events, mayor event schedules, and more.

We know that most of these things were pretty simple to build, especially with how much easier development has become with AI around. But for us, Hypixor was never just about how quickly we could put features together. There was a lot more we wanted to build around them, and we simply didn't have the time to finish everything properly.

The bigger picture

The bigger plan was to turn Hypixor into a completely free SkyBlock utility site with calculators, Bazaar and Auction related tools, and eventually our own API that we could make publicly available. We had already started working on a lot of these ideas, and some were getting pretty close to being finished.

A lot of these ideas weren't just things we had written down either. We had actually started building many of them, but between exams, university, and everything else going on, we just couldn't give them the time they needed.

Seeing how much we had planned compared to what we were actually able to release is probably one of the hardest parts for us. There is a lot of unfinished code and a lot of ideas that never got the chance to become what we wanted them to be.

We know Hypixor could have been much more complete if we'd had the time to keep pushing it.

Why we're sunsetting

Now, after nearly five months, we've made the difficult decision to sunset Hypixor.

With university starting to take up more and more of our time, we need to focus on what's in front of us right now. As much as we'd have liked to keep working on Hypixor, we simply don't have the time to give it the attention it needs.

Hypixor will remain available until September 16, 2026 at 6:22 PM IST. After that, we will no longer actively maintain or support the website.

What happens next?

• Hypixor will remain available until September 16 2026 at 6:22 PM IST, so you can continue using the site and its tools as usual until the sunset.
• Development has ended, so there won't be any new features, updates, or bug fixes.
• The website may continue to work after the sunset, but we can't promise that it will stay online.
• If it does remain online, please keep in mind that the information on the site may become outdated or inaccurate. Since we won't be maintaining Hypixor anymore, we cannot guarantee that its data or any other information will continue to be correct.
• The website may eventually be taken offline completely, without further notice.

We know there was still a lot more we wanted to build. There are plenty of ideas sitting in unfinished code, notes, and plans that we'll probably always wonder about. Maybe some of them would have turned Hypixor into what we originally imagined.

We could have done more. We know that. But we're still thankful for the time we got to spend building it, learning from it, and seeing people actually use something we made.
